1. Overview

FakeSystemUpdate ("we", "us", "our") operates the website fakesystemupdate.com. This Privacy Policy explains how we handle information when you visit our website or use our tool.

The short version: we do not collect, store, process, or share any personal data. FakeSystemUpdate is a purely front-end web application. All simulations run entirely in your browser. No data is transmitted to any server.

2. Information we do NOT collect

  • Personal identification information (name, email address, phone number)
  • Browser fingerprinting data
  • IP addresses
  • Cookies for tracking or analytics
  • Usage data or analytics
  • Device information
  • Location data
  • Any data entered into the prank configuration tool

The configurations you create (OS selection, percentage, sound settings) are stored only in your browser's URL as query parameters and in your browser's local storage if you choose to save them. This data never leaves your device.

3. How the tool works

FakeSystemUpdate is a static front-end application built with HTML, CSS, and JavaScript. When you configure a fake update screen, all processing happens locally in your browser. The generated prank link contains your configuration as URL query parameters — for example, ?os=windows11&start=45. No server is involved in generating or displaying the simulation.

4. Third-party services

Our website may be hosted on a static hosting provider (such as Vercel, Netlify, or GitHub Pages). These hosting providers may collect standard server logs (IP addresses, user agents, timestamps) as part of serving the static files. We do not access, review, or retain these logs. The hosting provider's own privacy policy applies to their data collection practices.

We do not use third-party analytics tools, advertising networks, or tracking scripts. There are no Google Analytics pixels, Facebook tracking codes, or similar technologies on this site.

5. Cookies

FakeSystemUpdate does not set any cookies. The only browser storage mechanism we use is localStorage to remember your theme preference (dark mode / light mode). This data stays on your device and is never transmitted anywhere.

6. Children's privacy

FakeSystemUpdate is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect any information from children. Since we do not collect any data at all, there is no risk of children's data being collected through our tool.

7. Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Any changes will be posted on this page with an updated "Last updated" date. Since we do not collect contact information, we cannot notify you directly of changes. We encourage you to review this page periodically.

8. Contact
